Syrians abroad — spread across Turkey, Lebanon, Germany, Sweden, and elsewhere — often maintain Syrian SIMs to stay reachable, so the person you're calling may be physically outside the country even though the number routes through a Syrian operator.

Syria runs on Eastern European Time in winter (UTC+2) and summer time in summer (UTC+3), with daylight saving observed from the last Friday of March through the last Friday of October. Evening calls — local time after 7 PM — are generally when families are gathered at home, making them the most effective window for personal calls.
